All detours and updates

From Monday 30th June for 12 days there will be road works on Barrington St that will require Route 44 service to detour from its usual route.  

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley will continue the normal route to Rose St, turn left on to Lyttelton St, turn right on to Frankleigh St, and turn left on to Barrington St to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will continue the normal route to Barrington St, turn right on to Frankleigh St, turn left on to Lyttelton St, and turn right on to Rose St to resume the normal route.

From Monday 9th June the next stage of the road works on Milton St will cause the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.  

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will continue the normal route to Milton St, turn right on to Selwyn St, left on to Bletsoe Ave, left on to Simeon St and right on to Athelstan St to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley will not be impacted by this detour.

From Monday 23rd June there will be a new bus stop opening in Woodend.
Route 95 Waikuku and Pegasus/City and Route 97 Rangiora/Pegasus are now picking up and dropping off customers from the new stop on Bob Robertson Drive, outside McDonalds.
This bus stop will be permanently part of the bus routes.

From Monday 23rd June there will be a new bus stop opening in Woodend.

From Monday 16th June there will be road works on Buchanans Rd that will require the Route 130 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Hei Hei will continue the normal route to  Racecourse Rd, continue along Racecourse Rd, turn right on to Waterloo Rd, turn right on to SH1 Carmen Rd and turn left on to Buchanans Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling eastbound towards Avonhead will not be impacted by this detour.

From Monday 16th June there will be road works on Bower Avenue that will require the Route 671 school service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling in the PM towards Burnham will continue the normal route to Racecourse Rd, continue along Racecourse Rd, turn right on to Waterloo Rd, turn right on to SH1 Carmen Rd, turn left on to Buchanans Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling in the AM towards Riccarton will not be impacted by this detour.

From Monday 26th May there will be road works on Birchs Rd that will require the Route 80 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Lincoln will continue the normal route to Springs Rd, continue along Springs Rd, turn left on to Trents Rd, turn right on to Birchs Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling eastbound towards Parklands/City will not be impacted by this detour.

From Monday 9th June the next stage of the road works on Milton St will cause the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.  

Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton will continue the normal route to Selwyn St, turn right on to Bletsoe Ave and right on to Athelstan St to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will not be impacted by this detour.

From Monday 9th June the next stage of the road works on Milton St will cause the Route 641 school service to detour from its usual route until further notice.  

Morning trips travelling towards Cashmere High School will continue the normal route to Milton St, turn right on to Selwyn St, left on to Bletsoe Ave, left on to Simeon St and right on to Athelstan St to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley will not be impacted by this detour.

From Monday 26th May until further notice there will be road works on Birchs Rd that will require the Route 81 service to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling westbound towards Lincoln will continue the normal route to Springs Rd, continue along Springs Rd, turn left on to Trents Rd, turn right on to Birchs Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling eastbound towards Parklands/City will not be impacted by this detour.

From Tuesday 3rd June for 2 nights there will be night works on North Parade that will require the Orbiter anticlockwise service to detour from its usual route between the hours of 9pm to 5am.  

Buses travelling Anti-clockwise will follow the normal route to North Parade, turn left on to Averill St, turn right on to Petrie St, turn left on to Shirley Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling clockwise will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 9th September 2024, there will be long-term road works in Ilam that will require the Route 100 service to detour from its usual route for about a year (until at least September 2025).   

Buses travelling westbound towards Wigram will follow the normal route along Riccarton Road and instead of turning right onto Clyde Road, buses will continue on Riccarton Road to resume normal route, avoiding Clyde Rd, Creyke Rd, and Ilam Rd. 

Buses travelling eastbound towards The Palms will follow the normal route along Riccarton Road and instead of turning left onto Ilam Road, buses will continue on Riccarton Road to resume normal route, avoiding Ilam Rd, Creyke Rd, and Clyde Rd.

There will be several closed and temporary bus stops along Halswell Rd due to the road improvements currently underway and estimated to take two and a half years. These will impact Route 7 passengers as well as some other routes that use Halswell Rd.

Please take note of the signs installed by contractors at the closed stops, directing you to the nearest stop/temporarily placed stop. Allow for additional time to get to your stop in case stops have been moved as the road works progress.

Please safely signal to your bus when it approaches, especially if visibility is restricted. We apologise for any inconvenience.
