On Sunday 29^th March for 4 nights there will be road works on Barrington St will require the Orbiter service to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling clockwise will follow the normal route to Barrington St, turn left on Wychbury St, turn right on Lyttelton St, turn right on Cobham St, and turn left on Barrington St to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling anti-clockwise will follow the normal route to Barrington St, turn right on Cobham St, turn left on Lyttelton St, turn left on Wychbury St, and turn right on Barrington St to resume the normal route.

From Monday 12th January there will be Stop/Go traffic controls in place on Centaurus Rd near Kowhai Tce to facilitate sewer renewal works that will impact the Orbiter service

Unfortunately, there is no suitable detour for heavy vehicles in this area so delays to certain trips may occur.

Works are expected to be completed in April.

From Tuesday 10th March the next stage of the wastewater project works on Greers Rd will require the Orbiter service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling clockwise will follow the normal route to Greers Rd, turn left on Memorial Ave, turn right on Grahams Rd, turn right on Wairakei Rd, and turn left on Greers Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling anticlockwise will not be impacted.

On Friday 27^th March for 1 day there will be road works on Factory Rd will require the Route 1 Belfast service to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling northbound towards Belfast will follow the normal route to Main North Rd, turn right on Donegal St, turn left on Tyrone St, and turn left on Factory Rd to finish trip at the temp. stop on Factory Rd.

Buses travelling southbound towards PMH and Cashmere will start trip from the temp. stop on Factory Rd, and turn left on Main North Rd to resume the normal route.

On Tuesday 31st March for 4 days there will be road works on Gardiners Rd to facilitate the 2nd stage of road dig-out works that will require the Route 107 service to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling northbound towards Styx Mill will follow the normal route to Sawyers Arms Rd, take the 3^rd exit at the Highsted Rd roundabout, take the 1^st exit at the Claridges Rd roundabout, and turn right on Gardiners Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Northlands Mall will follow the normal route to Gardiners Rd, turn left on Claridges Rd, take the 3^rd exit at the Highsted Rd roundabout, and take the 1^st exit at the Sawyers Arms Rd roundabout to resume the normal route.

On Wednesday 25^th March for 6 days there will be road works on Gardiners Rd will require the Route 107 service to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling northbound towards Styx Mill will follow the normal route to Gardiners Rd, turn right on Claridges Rd, take the 1^st exit at the Highsted Rd roundabout onto Highsted Rd, turn left on Styx Mill Rd, and turn right on Gardiners Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Northlands Mall will follow the normal route to Gardiners Rd, turn left on Styx Mill Rd, turn right on Highsted Rd, take the 3^rd exit at the Claridges Rd roundabout onto Claridges Rd, and turn left on Gardiners Rd to resume the normal route.

On Monday 23^rd March for 8 days there will be road works on Springfield Rd will require the Route 100 service to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling westbound towards Wigram will follow the normal route to Springfield Rd, turn left on Kinloch St, turn right on Abberley Cres, and turn left on Saint Albans St to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling eastbound towards The Palms will not be impacted.

From Monday 16th March there will be road closures on Jones Rd that will require the Route 671 & 673 school services to detour from their usual routes while signage is in place. 

Morning trips will follow the normal route to SH1 Main South Rd, continue on SH1 Main South Rd on to CHCH Southern Motorway, take the first exit off the Southern Motorway, take the first exit at the Weedons Ross Rd roundabout and take the third exit at the Jones Rd roundabout to resume the normal route.

From Monday 16^th February there will be road works on Railway Tce that will require school route 671 & 673 to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Morning trips travelling towards City Schools will follow the normal route to Jones Rd, continue on Dawsons Rd, take the 1^st exit at the SH1 Main South Rd roundabout onto SH1 Main South Rd, and turn left on Kirk Rd to resume the normal route.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Rolleston will follow the normal route to Banks St, turn right on Kirk Rd, turn left on Maddisons Rd, turn left on Dawsons Rd, take the 2^nd exit at the Dawsons Rd roundabout onto Jones Rd to resume the normal route.

From Sunday 15th March there will be road closures on Jones Rd that will require the Route 5 service to detour from its usual route while signage is in place. Please note there are different detours for westbound and eastbound trips. 

From first bus until 7pm: Buses travelling westbound towards Rolleston will follow the normal route to Jones Rd, take the first exit at the roundabout on to Weedons Ross Rd, take the second exit at the interchange roundabout onto the overbridge (signs for SH1 Timaru), take the second exit at the roundabout on to SH1 Main South Rd and turn left on to Rolleston Drive to resume the normal route.

From 7pm until last bus (except for Fridays and Saturdays): Buses travelling westbound towards Rolleston will follow the normal route to Jones Rd, take the third exit at the roundabout, turn left on to Maddisons Rd, left on to Hoskyns Rd, take the second exit at the Iport Dr roundabout, take the second exit at the Link Dr roundabout and continue on Hoskyns Rd to resume the normal route.

All day and night: Buses travelling eastbound will follow the normal route to SH1 Main South Rd, continue on SH1 Main South Rd on to CHCH Southern Motorway, take the 1st exit of the CHCH Southern Motorway, take the first exit at the Weedons Ross Rd roundabout and take the third exit at the Jones Rd roundabout to resume the normal route.

From Monday 16th February on weekdays only there will be road works that will require the Route 5 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling westbound towards Rolleston will follow the normal route to Jones Rd, take the 1st exit at the roundabout on to Weedons Ross Rd, take the second exit at the Weedons Interchange roundabout on to the Overbridge, take the 2nd exit at the Weedons Interchange roundabout on to SH1 Main South Rd and turn left on to Rolleston Drive to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling eastbound towards New Brighton will follow the normal route to SH1 Main South Rd, continue on to Christchurch Southern Motorway, take the 1st exit off the motorway, take the 1st exit at the Weedons Ross Rd roundabout and the 3rd exit at the Jones Rd roundabout to resume the normal route.

From Monday 16^th February = there will be road works on Railway Tce that will require the Route 5 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling westbound towards Rolleston will follow the normal route to Banks St, turn right on Kirk Rd, turn left on Maddisons Rd, turn left on Dawsons Rd, take the 2^nd exit at the Dawsons Rd roundabout onto Jones Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling eastbound towards New Brighton will follow the normal route to Jones Rd, continue on Dawsons Rd, take the 1^st exit at the SH1 Main South Road roundabout onto SH1 Main North Rd, and turn left on Kirk Rd to resume the normal route.

From Saturday 21st March the third stage of the wastewater project works on Greers Rd will require the Route 120 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling northbound towards Burnside will not be impacted

Buses travelling southbound towards Spreydon will follow the normal route to Cranbrook Ave, turn left on Grahams Rd, turn right on Wairakei Rd, turn right on Greers Rd, and turn left on Clyde Rd to resume the normal route.

From Tuesday 10th March there will be road works on Percival St that will require school route 724 detour from its usual route until further notice.

Morning trips travelling towards AGHS and SBHS will follow the normal route to South Belt, turn left on King St, take the 3^rd exit at the Johns Rd roundabout, and turn left on Percival St to resume the normal route.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Rangiora will not be impacted.

From Tuesday 24^th February there will be road works on Marine Pde that will require school route 666 detour from its usual route until further notice.

Morning trips travelling towards AGHS and SBHS will not be impacted.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Redcliffs will follow the normal route to Marine Pde, turn right on Bowhill Rd, take the 1^st exit at the Keyes Rd roundabout, turn left on Hawke St, take the 2^nd exit at the Shaw Ave roundabout, and turn right on Marine Pde to resume the normal route.

From Tuesday 6th January there will be road works on Estuary Rd that will require school route 667 to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Southshore will continue the normal route to Bridge St, take the 2^nd exit at the Estuary Rd roundabout, turn right on Pine Ave, veer left to stay on Pine Ave, and continue on Rockinghorse Rd to resume the normal route.

From Monday 2^nd February there will be road works on Athelstan St that will require the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

From Thursday 29th January there will be road works on Barbadoes St that will require the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley/Dallington will follow the normal route to Bealey Ave, turn left on Madras St, turn right on Edgeware Rd and turn left on Barbadoes St to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will not be impacted.

From Monday 5th January there will be road works restarting on Flockton St that will require the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley will follow the normal route along Warrington St, continue on Warrington St, turn left on to Hills Rd, left on to Aylesford St, left on to Westminster St and right on to Kensington Ave to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will follow the normal route along Westminster St, continue on Westminster St, left on to Francis Ave, left on to Warrington St and right on to Barbadoes St to resume the normal route.

There will be several closed and temporary bus stops along Halswell Rd due to the road improvements currently underway and estimated to take two and a half years. These will impact Route 7 passengers as well as some other routes that use Halswell Rd.

Please take note of the signs installed by contractors at the closed stops, directing you to the nearest stop/temporarily placed stop. Allow for additional time to get to your stop in case stops have been moved as the road works progress.
