On Sunday 7^th December there will be road closures due to the Rangiora Santa Parade that will require the Route 97 service to detour from its usual route between 1pm to 4pm.

Buses travelling eastbound towards Pegasus will continue the normal route to High St, turn left on White St, turn right on Blackett St, and take the 2^nd exit at the King St roundabout to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling westbound towards Rangiora will continue the normal route to Blackett St, take the 2^nd exit at the King St roundabout, turn left on White St, and turn right on High St to resume the normal route.

On Saturday 6^th December there will be road closures due to the Wine & Food Festival that will require the Route 8 service to detour from its usual route between 11am to 7pm.

Buses travelling northbound towards the Airport will continue the normal route to Hereford St, turn right on Montreal St, turn left on Victoria St, turn left on Bealey Ave, and turn right on Carlton Mill Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Lyttelton will have no detour required.

On Tuesday 2^nd December for 2 nights there will be road works on Wairakei Rd that will require Route 8 to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling northbound towards the Airport will continue the normal route to Wairakei Rd, turn right on Idris Rd, turn left on Blighs Rd, and turn right on Wairakei Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Lyttelton will continue the normal route to Wairakei Rd, turn left on Blighs Rd, turn right on Idris Rd, and turn left on Wairakei Rd to resume the normal route.

From Tuesday 2nd December for 4 days there will be road works on Rolleston Ave that will require Route 8 to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling northbound towards the Airport will continue the normal route to Hereford St, turn right on Montreal St, continue on Cranmer Sq, turn left on Kilmore St, and turn right on Park Tce to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Lyttelton will continue the normal route to Park Tce, turn left on Salisbury St, turn right on Durham St North, continue on Cambridge Tce, and turn left on Hereford St to resume the normal route.

From Monday 17^th November there will be road works on Harewood Rd that will require the Route 8 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling northbound towards the Airport will have no detour required.

Buses travelling southbound towards Lyttelton will continue the normal route to Harewood Rd, take the 3^rd exit at the Russley Road roundabout, continue on Russley Rd, take the 1^st exit from SH1 Russley Rd. turn left onto Wairakei Rd, and continue on Wairakei Rd to resume the normal route.

On Friday 5th December there will be road works on Marine Pde that will require school route 653 to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Morning trips travelling towards Chisnallwood Intermediate will have no detour required.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Southshore will continue the normal route to Marine Pde, turn right on Bowhill Rd, take the 1^st exit at the Keyes Rd roundabout, turn left on Hawke St, take the 2^nd exit at the Shaw Ave roundabout, and turn right on Marine Pde to resume the normal route.

On Wednesday 3^rd December for 2 days there will be a temporary change to the road works on Marine Pde that will require school route 653 to detour from its usual route. The original detour will then return.

Morning trips travelling towards Chisnallwood Intermediate will have no detour required.

Afternoon trips traveling towards Southshore will continue the normal route to Marine Pde, turn right on Leaver Tce, turn left on Tonks St, turn right on Bowhill Rd, take the 1^st exit at the Keyes Rd roundabout, turn left on Hawke St, take the 2^nd exit at the Shaw Ave roundabout, and turn right on Marine Pde to resume the normal route.

On Wednesday 3^rd December for 2 days there will be a temporary change to the road works on Marine Pde that will require Route 135 to detour from its usual route. The original detour will return will then return.

Buses travelling eastbound towards New Brighton will continue the normal route to Marine Pde, turn right on Leaver Tce, turn left on Tonks St, turn right on Bowhill Rd, take the 1^st exit at the Keyes Rd roundabout, turn left on Hawke St, take the 2^nd exit at the Shaw Ave roundabout, and turn right on Marine Pde to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling westbound towards The Palms will have no detour required.

From Monday 24^th November there will be road works on Marine Pde that will require Route 135 to detour from its usual route until further notice.

On Wednesday 3^rd December for 1 night there will be road works on Goulding Ave that will require Route 125 to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Westlake will continue the normal route to Chalmers St, turn left on Main South Rd, turn right on Shands Rd, and turn left on Amyes Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling northbound towards Redwood will have no detour required.

From Monday 17^th November there will be road works on Harewood Rd that will require the Route 125 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling northbound towards Redwood will continue the normal route to Harewood Rd, take the 3^rd exit at the Russley Rd roundabout, continue on Russley Rd, take the 1^st exit from SH1 Russley Rd, turn left onto Wairakei Rd, turn left onto Wooldridge Rd, and resume onto Harewood Rd to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Westlake will have no detour required.

From Wednesday 3^rd December there will be road works on Dunns Crossing Rd that will require school route 671 to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Morning trips travelling towards Upper Riccarton will continue the normal route to Two Chain Rd, make a U-Turn on Two Chain Rd, turn left on Aylesbury Rd, continue on Burnham Rd, turn left on Burnham School Rd, turn left on Dunns Crossing Rd, turn right on Granite Dr, and turn left on Brookside Road to resume the normal route.

On Monday 1^st December there will be road works on Burnham School Rd that will require school route 671 to detour from its usual route until further notice

Morning trips travelling towards Upper Riccarton will continue the normal route to Dunns Crossing Rd, turn left on Granite Dr, and turn left on Brookside Rd to resume the normal route.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Burnham will continue the normal route to Brookside Rd, turn right on Granite Dr, and turn right on Dunns Crossing Rd to resume the normal route.

From Tuesday 2nd December for 4 days there will be road works on Rolleston Ave that will require school route 742 to detour from its usual route.

Morning trips travelling towards City/Merivale Schools will continue the normal route to Hereford St, turn right on Montreal St, continue on Cranmer Sq, turn left on Kilmore St, and turn right on Park Tce to resume the normal route.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Sumner will continue the normal route to Park Tce, turn left on Salisbury St, turn right on Durham St North, continue on Cambridge Tce, and turn left on Hereford St to resume the normal route.

On Monday 10th November until the end of the school year there will be road works on Winchester Street that will require the Route 742 service to detour from its usual route in the afternoon.

Buses travelling in the afternoon will now pick up St Margaret's students from Papanui Rd near Clare Rd instead of Winchester Street. The bus time remains the same 3:40pm.

From Tuesday 25^th November for 11 days there will be road works on King St that will require school route 721 to detour from its usual route.

Morning trips travelling towards Christchurch Boys High School will have no detour required.

Afternoon trips travelling towards Rangiora will continue the normal route to High St, turn right on Church St, turn left on George St, and turn right on King St to resume the normal route.

From Tuesday 18^th November for 16 days there will be road works at the Supa Centa Terminus that will require Route 107 to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling northbound towards Styx Mill will continue the normal route to Supa Centa entrance, take the 1^st exit at the first roundabout, and take the 4^th exit at the second roundabout to finish the trip at the temporary stop.

Buses travelling southbound towards Northlands will start the trip from the temporary stop, and take the 3^rd exit at the first roundabout to resume the normal route.

From Monday 17^th November there will be road works on Harewood Rd that will require the Route 27 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling northbound towards Northwood will continue the normal route to Harewood Rd, take the 3^rd exit at the Highsted Rd roundabout, and take the 2^nd exit at the Sawyers Arms Rd roundabout to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Huntsbury will continue the normal route to Highsted Rd, take the 2^nd exit at the Sawyers Arms Rd roundabout, and take the 1^st exit at the Harewood Rd roundabout to resume the normal route.

From Monday 3^rd November there will be road works on Sparks Rd that will require the Route 60 service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling westbound towards Hillmorton have no detour required.

Buses travelling eastbound towards Southshore will continue the normal route to Hoon Hay Rd, continue on Hoon Hay Rd, turn left on Rose St, left on Lyttelton St, and right on Frankleigh St to resume the normal route.

From Tuesday 28^th October the final stage of road works on Maidstone Rd will require the Route 3 service to detour from it’s usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling westbound towards the Airport have no detour required.

Buses travelling eastbound towards Sumner will continue the normal route to Maidstone Rd, turn right on Waimairi Rd, left on Wadeley Rd, and right onto Maidstone Rd to resume the normal route

From Sunday 31st August there is an update to the detour for works on Maidstone Rd that requires the Route 3 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

[Updated 18/09] Buses travelling eastbound towards Sumner will follow the normal route along Maidstone Rd, turn left on to Waimairi Rd, right on to Greers Rd, right on to Memorial Ave and right on to Ilam Rd to resume the normal route.  

Buses travelling westbound towards the Airport will not be impacted by these works.

From Monday 27^th October there will be road works on Waimairi Rd that will require the Orbiter service to detour from its usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling clockwise have no detour required.

Buses travelling anticlockwise will continue the normal route to Waimairi Road, turn right on Wentworth St, left on Hounslow St, left on Maidstone Rd, and right onto Waimairi Rd to resume the normal route

From Tuesday 28^th October the final stage of road works on Maidstone Rd will require the Route 130 service to detour from it’s usual route until further notice.

Buses travelling northbound towards Avonhead have no detour required.

Buses travelling southbound towards Hei Hei & Hornby will continue the normal route to Waimairi Rd, turn right on Wadeley Rd, and right onto Maidstone Rd to resume the normal route.

From Monday 22nd September there will be road works on Flockton St that will require the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley will follow the normal route along Warrington St, continue on Warrington St, turn left on to Hills Rd, left on to Aylesford St, left on to Westminster St and right on to Kensington Ave to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will follow the normal route along Westminster St, continue on Westminster St, left on to Francis Ave, left on to Warrington St and right on to Barbadoes St to resume the normal route.

There will be several closed and temporary bus stops along Halswell Rd due to the road improvements currently underway and estimated to take two and a half years. These will impact Route 7 passengers as well as some other routes that use Halswell Rd.

Please take note of the signs installed by contractors at the closed stops, directing you to the nearest stop/temporarily placed stop. Allow for additional time to get to your stop in case stops have been moved as the road works progress.
