More direct services for Rolleston are here

More direct bus services between Rolleston and City are now operating with the launch of the new hybrid Route 84/85 services operated by Metro and Bentley Coachlines.

• The services began operating from 1 September 2025 on two new routes, 84 Rolleston Direct West and 85 Rolleston Direct East.
• There are 16 services in each direction on weekdays, with new extended routes providing easier access for residents to direct buses. A new timetable and map are available on our Route 84/85 page.

• While both Metro and Bentley Coachlines services operate on these routes, customers should remember that these are different services with different fares and payment methods. Please check the differences between the two services before you travel on them.
• At the Bus Interchange, all 84/85 buses will use Platform L on Lichfield St. We will have signage inside the interchange to direct customers to this platform.
