Detours for Harewood Road Super Week

Super Week roadworks at Harewood Road will affect several bus stops for routes 125, 8, and 27 between 4 and 25 January 2026. These works were initially going to end on the 11 January but have recently been extended until the 25 January.

Please find more details below, and plan ahead.

Route 125 Redwood/ Westlake

Buses travelling northbound towards Redwood will continue the normal route to Harewood Road, take the 3rd exit at the Russley Rd roundabout, take the 1st exit at the roundabout on to SH1 Russley Rd, turn left on to Wairakei Rd, left on to Wooldridge Rd and turn right on to Harewood Rd to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound will not be impacted.

Route 8 Lyttelton

Buses travelling southbound towards Lyttelton will continue the normal route to Harewood Rd, take the 3rd exit at the Russley Rd roundabout onto Russley Rd, take the 1st exit from SH1 onto Wairakei Rd, and continue onto Wairakei Rd to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling northbound will not be affected.

Route 27 Northwood/ Huntsbury

Buses travelling northbound towards Northwood will continue the normal route to Harewood Road, take the 3rd exit at the Highsted Rd roundabout, and take the 2nd exit at the Sawyers Arms Rd roundabout to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Huntsbury will continue the normal route to Highsted Rd, take the 2nd exit at the Sawyers Arms Rd roundabout, and take the 1st exit at the Harewood Rd roundabout to resume the normal route. 

Several stops will be affected during this detour, so we advise customers to plan ahead. This detour will be over from 5am Monday 12 January.
