Due to low usage of the #714 school service in 2022, this service has been removed for 2023. Students living in Southshore & Waimairi Beach travelling to Mairehau High School can use the Metro urban bus network. In the morning students can catch the Route 60 to the Palms and then transfer to the Orbiter (anticlockwise) or Route 44 to get to school. In the afternoon students can catch either the Orbiter (clockwise) or Route 44 to The Palms, transferring to the Route 60 to get the rest of the way home.
