Community Services cardholders can get 50% off the standard Metro fare on all Metro bus and ferry services in Greater Christchurch.
To access this fare, you'll need to choose a Motu Move way to pay and then link your concession.
CSC concessions with Motu Move
Fancy one less card in your wallet? You can now link your Community Services Card concession to a debit or credit card, including digital wallets such as Google Pay and Apple Pay.
To use your concession with contactless payments you will need to create a Motu Move account and link your concession. See our Using contactless payments page for more information.
If you prefer to use a prepaid transit card, continue to use your Metrocard for now.

How long does the Community Connect concession last?
Your Community Connect concession will apply for as long as you hold an active Community Services Card.
- We will regularly check your eligibility with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD).
- If you are no longer eligible, where we have your email address on file, we will contact you to tell you that your concession is ending
