Detour for Flockton St (from 5/01/2026 until further notice)

From Monday 5th January there will be road works restarting on Flockton St that will require the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route until further notice. 

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley will follow the normal route along Warrington St, continue on Warrington St, turn left on to Hills Rd, left on to Aylesford St, left on to Westminster St and right on to Kensington Ave to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will follow the normal route along Westminster St, continue on Westminster St, left on to Francis Ave, left on to Warrington St and right on to Barbadoes St to resume the normal route.

Detour for Colombo St night works (from 18/01/2026 until 26/01/2026)

From Sunday 18th January for 8 nights there will be road works on Colombo St that will require the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route between the hours of 6pm until 6am.

Buses travelling northbound towards Westmorland will follow the normal route along Colombo St, turn left on to Elgin St, right on to Durham St Sth, right on to Wordsworth St and left on to Colombo St to resume the normal route. 

Buses travelling southbound towards Shirley will follow the normal route along Colombo St, turn right on to Wordsworth St, left on to Durham St Sth, left on to Elgin St and right on to Colombo St.

Detour for Barbadoes St night works (from 18/01/2026 until 23/01/2026)

From Sunday 18^th January for 5 nights there will be road works on Barbadoes St that will require the Route 44 service to detour from its usual route.

Buses travelling northbound towards Shirley will follow the normal route to Barbadoes St, turn left on Edgeware Rd, turn right on Forfar St, turn left on Warrington St, turn right on Cranford St, turn right on Westminster St and turn left on Kensington Ave to resume the normal route.

Buses travelling southbound towards Westmorland will follow the normal route to Westminster St, continue on Westminster St, turn left on Francis Ave, turn left on Warrington St and turn right on Barbadoes St to resume the normal route.
